Professor Khondker Abdul Awal (Rizvi), Secretary General of National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh; Professor Sohel Reza Choudhury, Co-Principal Investigator of BELIEVE-Urban and Professor Dr Tuhin Haque, Co-Investigator of BELIEVE-Urban attended CAPABLE general assembly meeting 2019 at University of Cambridge, UK along with other delegates from National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute which held on 5th-6th September 2019.
CAPABLE Program (Cambridge Program to Assist Bangladesh in Lifestyle & Environmental Risk Reduction) is funded by UK government via global challenges research fund which aims to reduce the burden of NCD in Bangladesh & capacity building of Bangladeshi researchers. National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research institute is one of leading collaborative institution of CAPABLE Program among seven collaborative institution.
The ongoing BELIEVE-Urban study of National Heart Foundation Hospital is the largest prospective cohort study of South Asia which is under this "CAPABLE Program".
