Bangladesh Network for NCD Control and Prevention (BNNCP) with the collaboration of Telenor Health organized a 'Prothom Alo Round Table Meeting' on 18 October 2016 at Daily Prothom Alo office, Karwan Bazar, Dhaka. Current situation, challenges and way forward on NCD Control and Prevention discussed in the round table. National Professor Brig (Rtd.) A Malik, Founder & President, National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh and Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Director General, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) was present in the meeting.
Professor AKM Mohibullah, Professor A K Azad Khan, Professor Harun-Ur-Rashid, Dr. M Amjad Hossain, Professor Mollah Obayedullah Baki, Professor Khondker Abdul Awal Rizvi, Professor Abdullah Al Shafi Majumder, Dr. Md. Faruk Ahmed Bhuiyan, Dr. Makhduma Nargis, Professor Hajera Mahtab, Professor Sohel Reza Choudhury, Mr. Iqbal Masud, Mr. Faridur Rahman Khan, Dr. A M Shamim, Dr. Fred Harsh, Mr. Sajid Rahman, Mr. Abdul Qayum participated in the meeting & discussed on prevalence, prevention & treatment of Non Communicable diseases in Bangladesh. BNNCP has been formed by several health professional and civil society organizations with a view to work collectively in a coordinated way. Currently the Members of the network are:
